Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

I need to shop. Badly.

5 February 2010
Hey guys. As you all know, today's our school, Sri KDU's official Sports Day:D And also my LAST year of high school Sports Day.. I know almost everyone was looking forward to this day. I can tell. Especially ME.

Hehe. Alright. Today, I arrived at the Stadium Panasonic/Shah Alam about 6.30am. So early. Waited for a while till the other cheer team mates came.. And we did our makeup all that immediately after that. I was so scared in the beginning that our makeup would smudge and all due to the weather. It was actually raining heavily in the morning.. Thank God almost 8.30am, the rain stopped. Well, not entirely. It was still drizzling, but yeah, it was so much better than before. At least we could continue our sports event and everything. If not, it would be delayed even much later.

Our annual school Sports Day started off just the same like every year, with the prefects marching in to the field first, followed by the blue, green, red and yellow houses march past teams. After all of the march past performances, it was then time for the cheerleaders to perform. The green house cheerleading was the first. Followed by us, blue, and red as well as yellow. To be honest, I didn't really have any butterflies in my stomach or feeling nervous or anything before our cheer team went on to perform. Hmm. Perhaps it could be because I'm kind of used to performing by myself already, and performing with so many people, is actually way much better. You basically won't feel anything:D

And just so you know, our blue house cheerleading team won GOLD! Muahaha. I'm so happy for everyone & for myself too. It's like God has answered our prayers. He really did. After all our sweat, blood, hardwork and tears(roflmao) we finally got what we DESERVED! Heee. I really think that we deserved the title. We were all so nervous before the emcee announced the first prize winner team for the cheerleading. All of us were holding each other's hand sooo tightly. Some even started crying, sobbing, after they announced the second prize winner, which was the Yellow cheerleading team. We didn't want to be too over-confident about who's going to grab the first prize for this year's cheerleading event. However, everyone told us that it's us already. There's no way other than blue will get the gold. Well, but who knows, sometimes things will be a wee bit unpredictable. But overall, I'm very satisfied with the results & all:) Seriously.

I'm very happy with myself this year because of the achievement I got. I finally had the guts to try out for cheerleading, and true enough, I got selected. And there was how I started building up my confidence and changing my mindset about certain things. I'm pretty sure if I haven't joined cheerleading at all this year, I wouldn't know how it feels like being a cheerleader and experiencing all kinds of things. I'm glad that I've made the right choice to take part in this and not quit the team halfway like what I thought I will do. So, I'm proud of myself. I made it through. So much of practices and complaints that I had for the past few weeks. I'm sure you guys knew all about it too since I've been complaining every single time when I get hurt or injured my thighs or whatsoever. I think that's the whole process that you will have to go through for being a cheerleader. There's definitely no easy way out from this. Unless you don't want to win at all. Then fine, just don't care.

I reckon that I got stronger from all the practices too. Now, I hardly ever complain about my thighs' pain, or calf muscles pain, or anything. Perhaps I'm kind of used to it already. Well, it would be really useful for my ballet!! :D I'm trying to build up my strength for my legs and abdominal muscles as much as I can. Hopefully all these will make me a better dancer in ballet:)

Alright, I guess I'm just going to let the pictures do all the talking now, enjoy!
