Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

Just to be with you.

12 February 2011
Hey readers.

How have your Chinese New Year celebrations been?
Well, mine for a start wasn't so bad as what I've thought. First off, the idea of spending CNY abroad without my family members around was terrible. I couldn't imagine how CNY would be given that there won't be any celebrations or anything close to visitings during CNY anymore like what I used to do annually for the very first time.

However, I've got to say, things soon went on a bit better when I decided to go for the Chinese New Year dinner trip to Manchester organized by the Hong Kong socitey :) It was kind of a new experience and a new way of celebrating Chinese New Year for me. Thankfully, we had chinese cuisine for dinner as well. So overall, it isn't so bad. And on a plus side, me and the girls got to do some shopping before hand that was worth every penny, I reckon. Teehee. Anyway, I've got to say, CNY is so different here without family and close friends back home.. but overall, I'm happy that I've found another way to feel closer to home when it comes to celebrating occasions like this; I realized that it's not about how you celebrate or where you celebrate it, it's about who you're celebrating with, and how you spend every seconds of it with the people that never fail to make you smile :)

On the other hand, this week has definitely been so happening. I had quite a bit of things going on- Practical assessments for Physics & Chemistry, performed my bluebird solo again after so many months during ballet class, received my Topshop parcel that I've ordered from the website :D, Saturday tests revision that I had to work on, and later tonight, there will be a Fashion Show event in my college & tomorrow night, another Starry Night concert that I'll be attending to. See? This is exactly what I mean by "happening". Gosh. It feels like time is ticking by so fast. And it doesn't just stop there. My half-term exams are just next Wednesday! Oh my. Got to definitely buck up and work extra hard for the next few days because I can't afford to leave a bad impression to my teachers and of course, my parents.

Besides that, today is a special day for another family member of mine..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DADDY (YONG SUI)! hehehe.

Love u.

And two days before, which was February the 10th, it was my best friend's birthday, Grace. I felt really awful after wishing her for almost the last. I used to always wish her on the dot at 12 o'clock. But well, it seemed that things' changed. I know when she says she doesn't mind, she meant it.. but I still feel terribly sorry, as a friend. I guess the time difference and being in a boarding school have somehow made a difference. Well, I hope that she had an awesome day on her birthday:) Love you with all my heart, bestie! ♥

That's all for now guys.
I might not be blogging that often until my half-term exams are over, which will be on a SUNDAY! So, till then! :)

Have a great week ahead

& not to mention,

A blissful Valentine's Day with your love ones on February the 14th,
which is this Monday!
