Hello there, apologies if my latest blog post took quite awhile to get published. I would say, this is partly due to the fact that I've been (really) occupied with university work.
..What's new?
I wouldn't deny the fact that after experiencing the first two weeks as a final year (third year) student, I definitely learnt that it is so much more demanding and stressful compared to previous years. Even though my present timetable for this semester is more spread out from last time, I can't help but to admit that this is actually not a good thing. It shows that everything will be more concentrated in terms of the modules I'll be taking and this could only mean that a greater and more in-depth sort of understanding and knowledge is required for every submodules that I'm being taught. This could be really tricky :X
Nevertheless, I've also been really caught up with my preparation for the final year dissertation project. Yes, it's a compulsory dissertation project for everyone of us undertaking this degree that will take place throughout the year. As much as I would say it's really exciting that I will be learning and carrying out specific research related to Rolls-Royce's commercial material in terms aero-engine related applications, I have to also constantly bear in mind of the challenges and demands in my project ahead of me. Which is why, it's really crucial that I learn to organise my time properly between project work, revision and also some form of socialising/keeping up with my friends (of course) this year. I simply just can't always be spending (all) my time in university work and neglect all the other small little things in life even though I do know that the effort that I give towards my university work is really important this year as it ultimately determines the type of class that I'll be awarded upon graduating.
Alright, I shouldn't make this post sound too serious and just all about my university life..
So, apart from university work and all, of course I've also been occupying some of my time in other areas and possibly something slightly more interesting and new that I've not done before. :)
Well, on Tuesday, I was invited to join one of Dior's VIP event at Selfridges here in Manchester. I was truly flattered and happy that Dior has chosen me to be one of their so-called "models" to be featured in their upcoming fashion campaign. *coughs* This is actually something meant to be private as the public shouldn't really be aware of this until it is officially featured in the campaign, or something like that I've been told of. And also for your information, I believe that this fashion campaign is solely to feature some of the trendsetting customers in Dior among the Asian community. Hahaha, I am totally not one of them (obviously). Really am clueless about why I was even being invited to the event in the first place. Nonetheless, it was overall a great experience and I really enjoyed myself during the event on Tuesday; from meeting new people and having the opportunity to converse with so many them, all of which were really one of the firsts kind of encounter that I have had so far.
At the same time, I would actually say that having been given the chance to be photographed by a photographer from Paris solely for Dior was such an exciting and will possibly remain as one of my once-in-a-lifetime experiences to date. I came in for the event, all dressed in my own piece of outfit: from the dress, jacket, and earring to the shoes, but was given the extra accessories from Dior for the photo shoot as well. Not only that, a makeup artist was there on that evening to apply a really bold lipstick colour for me, which was a deep strong Fuchsia Pink. That was totally my first time applying such colour. I thought it was really weird to see myself in that kind of lipstick shade. Haha.
Anyways, I don't have the actual photos that were taken throughout the photo shoot as the photographs would be sent off to London for some sort of inspection procedure by the people in-charge before they would actually publish them. And only then, Dior will notify us and give us our pictures taken from the photo shoot in a book form and probably the hard copies as well. So at the moment, I have only two pictures taken from the event by the salesperson! Hehe. It's not my complete outfit for that evening, but I think this would suffice for now. Once I've obtained the rest of my photographs and when it's published or official then, I will only post them up and share them with you guys. Teehee.

My outfit for that evening:
Dress | Topshop
Shoes | Christian Louboutin
Bag | Dior (BeDior)
Accessories | Dior Tribal Earring
p/s: I don't have a picture of myself in the jacket that I was wearing that day! Probably only when the official photographs are out :p
Forgive me if my face looked rather plain and simple in these pictures.. I honestly did not have any eye makeup on for that evening! I was misinformed. Thought the makeup artist would be applying makeup for us, but instead, it was just lipstick ><" Oh well...
The simple complimentary gifts that Dior has given out to us during that event.

A random picture of the Ladureé macarons that my friends got for me.

Later that night, I attended a clubbing event for the fresher's called Detention organised by both Malaysian and Singapore societies. I know, such a rare moment that you see me doing things like this. Haha. In fact, it was my first time attending a fresher's social event, like seriously. For those of you who knows me well, you will obviously know that I'm just someone who doesn't often attend social events like these that require drinking or anything for most of the time. I reckon that's partially because I have an unforeseeable and awful alcohol tolerance. By that, I really mean it. You really don't want to know my limit, you just don't. :P
Therefore, it was honestly my first time attending a fresher's event, and I thought, it was really different compared to those that I've attended so far.. I wouldn't bother elaborating on that but yeah, all I could say is I wasn't entirely enjoying myself throughout the event.. Maybe it's because I didn't quite exactly enjoy some of the company that night, i.e. some people that my friends have just recently met who joined along.. It's funny how little things like that can affect your day or even set out a wrong atmosphere to an event that you're looking forward to initially? I'm sorry for being such straightforward and an overly-sensitive person, but since this is my personal blog, I could have all the space to myself in ranting my true feelings and thoughts but not hiding them. Haha, who do I even want to impress? Exactly. But top of it all, I was more than glad to have bumped into some familiar faces :)
As usual, I'll just let some random pictures do most of the talking. Heh.
Adelyn, Nicole and I. #1 selfie that we managed to take during our "toilet break". Haha.
#2, if you could notice a tiny bit of difference in this picture compared to the one previously, hehe.
My mandatory selfie after my night-out. haha! Sorry for such monotonous face expression, I guess I was totally drained from the event that night!

Those as mentioned above are pretty much the highlight of my week. I hope it didn't bore you too much with me sharing those details from my experience and thoughts so far.
Have a wonderful weekend people!
Till next time,
