Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

Life is full of colours.

1 March 2010
So, yesterday was the last day of Chinese New Year. I can't believe the 15 days of CNY has passed so swiftly. Now, we all have to get back to our studies and really put our heads into it. Before this, because of the Chinese New Year holidays, everyone was so off, especially for myself, I didn't even have the mood to really study when teacher's in front talking or discussing something every time, all I ever thought was: Tomorrow's dinner with whoever, visiting at cousin's house, watching horror movie marathon with the cousins/Melissa etc. So many things were always on my mind last week.

And as you all know, I had my Class Test 1 too last week after 1 week's holiday. Well, all I can say is that I know I can do better. It wasn't really my best. Part of it could be due to my holiday mood and all those visitings plus endless dinners with my daddy's friends.

Come back to my class test performance, I was really very disappointed with myself especially for Add Maths. I don't know what else to say. My careless mistakes are getting worse day by day, seriously. When would I ever correct this bad habit of mine? When would I learnt from my lesson? Geee. I was utterly pissed when I got back the paper. Seeing almost every single person in my class who plastered a wide smile across their faces when they received their test papers made me wanna cry so badly. Never in my life have I encountered such situation :( It was almost the worst day of my life.

I know I shouldn't be blaming this on anyone except myself. Oh well, like what I always tell myself, what's happened, happened. There's no point crying over spilled beans, all you have to do is just move forward and work harder to improve yourself. Ah, I just hope that nothing like this will ever repeat in future.

Alright, enough of my class test 1 already. I shall blog about something more cheerful. Therefore, I shall summarize my whole entire Chinese New Year with all of you :) Overall, Chinese New Year for 2010 is something different. For the first time, I went for visitings at six different houses of my classmates', I've never done anything like that before. And for the first time, we spent the first few days of Chinese New Year without my elder brother who was still in Melbourne taking his summer course at that time. That's why, it also felt a bit weird at first because he did not attend the Reunion dinner with all our family members, cousins from mum & dad's side too like every year. But after a while, it wasn't that bad anymore because he was still coming home on the 6th day of Chinese New Year :) So after all, we still got to spend Chinese New Year together as a family.

Oh, and I have to say, my collection of angpau's ie. red packets this year are waaaay more that last year's! Well, it's not just the number or angpau's that are more, the amount of money too was more than last year's. So happyyyy *grins*

Anyway, to sum it up, this year's CNY was really something special :) We got to eat together for so many times; talking and laughing and taking endless pictures together felt so good. I don't know whether next year I would get to spend my Chinese New Year like this again since I will be leaving at the end of this year for Concord College at Shrewsbury, UK. I'm really thankful to those around me who have made Chinese New Year such a wonderful one for me this year. I couldn't ask for more. :)
