Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

Taking baby steps

25 September 2014
Greetings from Manchester!

Past few days was just about catching up with more friends, stocking up more supplies for my apartment, settling down and also signing up for the gym that situates around my place since my two days worth of lectures were cancelled willingly by one of my lecturers as he was required to attend some conference meeting at Glasgow :)

Anyway, I really can't wait to have a proper schedule in exercising weekly, so I can actually maintain a healthier lifestyle here in the UK.. I'm trying to make it a habit to exercise at least 3-4 times a week, just like what I did back in Malaysia during my summer holidays. Hopefully, this going-to-the-gym thing is gonna last till before I head back to Malaysia for my Christmas break, heh.

So, yesterday morning, I finally had the urge to decorate my bedroom, after God-knows how long! Haha. Put the pink wooden pegs to use that Yee Xin got for me as part of my 21st birthday gift this year, as well as the polaroid pictures that were sitting nicely collecting dust on my table for the past few months here in the UK while I wasn't around, along with the string that I got few days back from Paperchase! It's not the prettiest yet, but here, I have posted a picture of the current condition of my bedroom after revamping it yesterday (sort of).

There you go. A picture of the polaroid pictures hanging on my bed frame :) I actually wanted to hang more pictures on it, but I think it would look too much if I did so.

Anyways, I am thinking of hanging up the remaining polaroid pictures that I have, which I think there are probably around 50 or more pictures altogether! Most likely, I would hang the rest of them in my living room as a decoration again.. Just the matter of which particular wall or area that I want to hang it against now. Waiting for some inspiration and creativity to kick-in. *grins*

Other than that, yesterday afternoon, I managed to meet up with Jane over an afternoon tea session at Manchester House's Lounge on the 12th floor. It was nonetheless a very great catchup over tea with this girl, alongside our endless conversations, hehe. Certainly looking forward to have more meet ups with her in the coming days :)

For this, I'll post some pictures that I have taken from the afternoon tea at Manchester House yesterday.

Enjoy!

The outdoor area to chill on the 12th floor at Manchester House.

A very simple decoration on our round table.

This was a minor section of the lounge that we were seated at yesterday. It was overall a mixture of relaxed and "chic" ambiance for an afternoon tea or even drinks (if you're interested).. I particularly liked how the natural sunlight was just shining through the glass window to our seat yesterday. It felt great and so comforting at the same time.

A small part of the view that I actually managed to take from where we were seated yesterday. In my opinion, this section of the lounge that we were seated didn't provide such a great view as compared to the other sections.. Would definitely love to come back for another visit next time but probably with a better seating view.

Our afternoon tea set, with a minimum of two person condition. It was £25 per person for everything that you see in the picture above, which consisted of an assorted selection of sandwiches at the bottom of the stand, while the rest on the top contained the scones, macarons, and other types of desserts as you can see.

With my pretty date for the afternoon tea yesterday :p

Another picture of Jane & I again.

Ahh well, girls just being girls, hehe. We can never get tired of smiling in front of the camera, haha.

Do you realised that we were dressed almost similar in terms of our outfit as well as the bag that we were carrying?! Such a coincidence! It's really cute whenever I think about it again, heh.

Twinsies.
Except for the height part :( Boooo~ I really want your height, Jane!

It's almost the end of the week, can't believe I almost survived the first week back in Manchester alone (well not entirely, with my friends of course, hehe)! But either way, I am quite proud of myself.. Just small little achievements like these day by day make me feel really satisfied and contented with everything that I have in life now, if you know what exactly I'm referring to :)

I guess it's time for a goodbye again now. Will be updating again of course since the weekend is almost here!

Hang in there guys, we can do this! *shows biceps* HAHA

Till then,
