Day 2 in Las Vegas
The second day in Vegas began with a morning exercise at the gym in the hotel. Le bf and I decided to have a good exercise before we began our day, just to make ourselves feel better whenever we indulge in food, heh. Shortly after our morning exercise and everything, it was finally time to satisfy our hunger with a great breakfast. We decided to eat in again, at Society Café Encore in the hotel.

After walking along The Strip from our hotel onwards, le pug began to crave for some Mexican food.. I wasn't always a fan of Mexican food, because I don't quite ever remember the names of the dishes that I'm having at all. Can't seemed to get my head round to remember the difference between enchiladas, tacos, chipotle etc.
After that, we carried on walking and did more window shopping before we headed back to the hotel to prepare ourselves for the dinner reservation that night at SW Steakhouse. I insisted on making a reservation at the restaurant way before we knew that we were staying at Wynn's Encore because it is apparently one of the best steakhouses in Vegas that one should never miss! So lucky that we got a table for two and I also managed to make some early birthday arrangements for the bf at the restaurant :)
A mini birthday surprise for le bf with one of the recommended desserts by the waitress. So glad that he was really surprised because usually, he never really gets surprised at all even for any surprises I try to pull for him in the past.
However, throughout the entire show, I could tell that he wasn't really fond of the production and the stunts that they were pulling at all. Well, who am I to blame? Personally, I actually felt that the production wasn't really up to my expectation too – I was more shocked at the level of disappointment that I was receiving as I sat through the show.
In fact, I have previously watched The House of Dancing Water at the City of Dreams in Macau few years ago, and surprisingly, that production was definitely a top-notch standard as compared to this one in Vegas, despite the two productions being written and directed by the same person, Franco Dragone. I would never imagined a standard of production in Vegas could be lower than the ones in Macau, ever.
From this experience of mine, I could clearly draw a conclusion that not everything that I see or find in the states could be undoubtedly better than the ones found in Asia. Therefore, if you're ever considering of purchasing a ticket for yourself or family or whoever, please reconsider it! I wouldn't want you to burn such crazy amount of money, especially when you are paying in USDs for a show that you can always get close to home, i.e. Macau.
Trust me, once you've watched the one in Macau, the shows in Vegas are definitely incomparable, especially for this Le Rêve – The Dream show. Also, in my opinion, if you've watched the one in Macau before, I don't think you would ever want to watch any more Cirque du Soilel-related performances in future. I can assure you, the one in Macau is enough to make your mind blow! :p
Okie dokes, I guess that's all for now. Time for me to hit the sack!
Goodnight y'all!

This was the plate of Huckleberry Soufflé Pancake with lemon zest and fresh cream on top that I've ordered for myself. It was something different that I've never tried before.. Definitely a change from the usual pancakes/waffles.
My bowl of fresh fruits and some maple syrup for the soufflé pancakes.
Pug's eggs benedict's with crab meat cake and asparagus.. According to him, it was really good.

After our light lunch, we continued walking along The Strip... Did some window shopping along the way and finally decided to pay a spontaneous visit to Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where we then realised that we wanted to have some scones for our tea break. Heh.
We just ordered plain scones that came with clotted cream and assorted jams, along with a pot of tea.

I must say, this basket of assorted breads that you see here is definitely one of the bests I've ever had! I was never really a fan of breads, but look at this... They even serve pretzels! & boy, they were really good till' my bf had to stop me from finishing the entire basket because he was afraid that I would be too full before the arrival of our starters :p
I wasn't supposed to post this picture of us here, but heck, it's not like he will ever find out about this (because he claims that he looks bad in this picture), HAHA. Coincidentally, both of us were wearing white that night.
Insisted on ordering a glass of light red wine for myself even when I knew/he knew clearly that I could never finish it, ever.
Our main course for the night! Two different types of beef we have ordered which were portioned out nicely on our plates. One thing that I certainly do love about eating at the states is that the waiter/waitress will separate out the portion accordingly before serving to us whenever we emphasise or just lightly mention that "we are sharing". Just two thumbs up for their service (I know we do pay a lot for their tips each time, haha.) The sirloin and kobe beef both tasted so good.. I am definitely coming back again if I ever visit Vegas in future! Again, another two thumbs up to the waitress for her highly trustable recommendations according to our personal preferences that we've mentioned previously.
Us:)
Birthday boy blowing his mini-cake :D
Basically, SW Steakhouse is a must if you're a true fan of steaks! Definitely would give this place a 10/10 for their food and service! After our meal, I treated le bf to watch a water show called Le Rêve – The Dream at the Wynn's theatre because this show is apparently known as the best production show in Vegas and I thought he would actually enjoy it since we were going to do something different together for a change.
