Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

Update #3 for Easter trip

31 July 2015
Day 3 in Las Vegas (23.03.15 – Pug's birthday)

So, the third day in Vegas coincided with Pug's official 22nd birthday. Even so, our day actually began rather simple - somewhat like the usual days.. I think this is probably one of the problems when the guy usually has no expectations at all, or when he simply just don't mind even if you don't throw a party or even celebrate his birthday. Yeap, that's him.

Sometimes, this kind of attitude coming from him makes me simply speechless because indirectly, it reflects upon the total contrasting personality and expectation that I have for important dates/events like anniversaries, birthdays, and special occasions. And because of his "I'm-okay-even-if-you-forget-about-my-birthday" attitude, I can't help but to question myself whether is it wrong to even have expectations from the other half of yours during these special events... Or am I purely too demanding?

Alright, let's just not go into that topic. I'm not really having a great day after all. So much things have happened over the past few days, and sometimes, I would very much just like to live in the past, with the happy memories that I've created before; instead of reminding myself with the constant fact that we can never change one's personality and behaviour.

Therefore, I shall pretty much just proceed with my update on my Easter trip!

This beautiful place filled with pretty decorative flowers is called The Buffet found at Wynn's. One of the highly-raved place to have buffet by public, based on the reviews I've found online. Also, you will usually find a very long queue outside this place if you're not a hotel guest or you're unwilling to pay for a "no-waiting-time" ticket.

The colour combination of this place somehow reminded me of Laduree.

Can't stop myself from taking a picture with the artificial waterfall again, heh.

The birthday boy.

Basically, we didn't do much around Vegas on the third day because we felt that Vegas was just all about the entertainments like the casino, shows, clubs, drinks etc. However, since the both of us (especially for me) weren't the type who are really fond of any of those activities, thus, we practically spent most of our time strolling along The Strip, eating, shopping, meeting up with some of his friends, before we had to head back to the hotel for another dinner reservation that I've made as his "surprise" birthday dinner..

That's why we thought that our trip to Vegas could've been a 3 days 2 nights trip instead of a 4D3N. It would be helpful for those of you who wants to make a trip to Vegas but have the same sort of preference like us (don't really gamble or drink etc), that you should just try to shorten your time in Vegas and spend more time travelling elsewhere to other states, if you're intending on spending your time solely along the hotel/shopping areas for food/relaxing time; instead of paying a visit to the Grand Canyon.

Perhaps the next time round if I ever come back to Vegas, I will make my trip solely about visiting the Grand Canyon for an entire day, and thereafter, maybe just a day or two around the main shopping areas :)

So I made dinner reservations for two at this beautiful restaurant, located at Wynn's – Bartolotta Ristorante Di Mare. One thing that I was really thankful about – most of the famous/fantastic dining areas were situated at either Encore's or Wynn's area. It was just too strategic for us. We didn't have to waste any travelling time at all.

Requested for a table outside facing the water features:)

The fresh flown-in seafood selection that night. We opted for the chef's choice of tasting menu ;)

Made another exception for that night again – white wines to start our meal.

Take 3

Some sort of anchovies-like fish as our starter.

Fresh scallops.

Fresh squids.

Fresh clams.

Fresh scampi, prawns and langoustines.

Some sort of ravioli.

Sea urchin risotto :D

The waiter was deboning our huge white fish.

Our white fish for the night.

Another surprise mini-cake. Well, this time round, he wasn't surprised at all because it's a known fact that it was his actual birthday that night and he knew me too well. Haha.

Complimentary desserts that came with the cake that night because it was his birthday! Haha.

Chocolates to end the night.

Those were the times that someone have ever taken so many shots of us.. Yes, the problem that we often face when travelling in two and when we were also in LDR.

On the other hand, how/what do you think about me in dark coloured hair/natural black? Not sure whether I should do something to my hair again. Haha. Just a thought...

Anyway, the food, ambiance, service and view were great at Bartolotta. Would definitely rate that place a 5-star! It was a wise choice for choosing that place over the Picasso restaurant at Bellagio Hotel. I guess at the end of the day, it will be the company that matters most.. & most importantly, glad that the birthday boy enjoyed his dinner treat a lot!

Okie dokes, I think that's pretty much all about my Vegas trip. Ended our night with a great celebration at a great restaurant before embarking on our next journey the next morning to Los Angeles!

Will check back in again soon, but it's goodnight for now! Have a great weekend :)
