Be who you want to be, not what others expect of you;

Before the big day of my cousin sistarh

23 February 2017
One of the reasons why I couldn't stay back longer in the UK was because of my cousin sister's wedding.. Well, since she's the first one to get married from my mum's side, hehe. On top of that, my cousin sister's wedding would be in Singapore instead of Malaysia since her husband is a Singaporean. So it is definitely a very big and significant thing for everyone. Therefore, it's undeniable that everyone wanted to ensure that things would go smoothly with necessary arrangements being carried out properly in advance..

Before the cousin sister's wedding on 10.12.16, I had some preparations to do like dress fitting etc. Decided to make a skirt (based on my own design which I've suggested to my designer) to go with the body suit that I managed to purchase from Topshop in London :) Many people couldn't believe that it wasn't a gown when I wore it on the day of the wedding.. hehe. I'm honestly very satisfied and happy with the end result. Playing mix & match with outfits is indeed something that I enjoy a lot.

A snapshot of the entire "gown"

The next day, my family and I headed down to Singapore by car before the wedding on Saturday. We decided to make a stopover at Johor, to have our lunch before we continued our journey to Singapore. If you're a fan of Bak Kut Teh (Herbal Pork), don't hesitate to give this place a try – Kedai Makanan Ah Soon 亚顺肉骨茶. It's one of my family's favourite spots for a decent good bowl of herbal Bak Kut Teh whenever we drop by Johor Bahru or either making our way to Singapore by car :)

Yummy.

Comfort food!

If you're a fan of pork livers like me, this would be the dish you should go for :p

Matchy-matchy with our Yeezy's, hehe.

Finally arrived at MBS Hotel, Singapore, after hours of driving journey!

First time trying this Seafood Paradise at MBS Hotel. Presenting to you some fresh lobster and geoduck's sashimis.. They really tasted so good!

One of their signature fried fishes. I know that from the picture above, it doesn't look very appealing, but trust me, it tasted rather delicious. Something we all agreed that finding the same sort of taste and fish in KL would be difficult.

Some crabs cooked in sweet & sour style.

Salted egg yolk base of crabs.

Another dish that claimed to be the restaurant's signature – Goose Liver with mushrooms.

Needless to say, there were a lot eating even before the wedding day of my cousin sister.. It made all of us feel super guilty as we were afraid that on the next day, we would all look super unfit and bloated in our beautiful gowns and outfits, haha. Anyway, do check back in for my next post, it would be more pictures from the actual wedding day itself :) Thats all for now.

Till then,
