ps: i had two chrome hearts cross charms on my left fingernails, while the ones on the right are mainly designs of french manicure, diamond-shaped and some colour-blocking geometry thing.
On Tuesday, I finally had the chance to find some time in treating myself to a manicure and pedicure session. Gosh, I can't exactly recall how long has it been since the last time I've actually done something to my nails! I can't believe that I have been talking about going for a mani/pedi session since the beginning of my summer holidays, and only up until now, I actually managed to fork out some time for it.
So, this time round, I've decided to try out a new place for my mani/pedi. Instead of going to my usual convenient spot, which is at Sunway Pyramid, the Jj Nail Studio, I've made an exception for the first time and brought myself to try this so-called newly opened boutique at Bangsar Telawi (approximately 3 months ago), which is the Duchess & Co store, to have my nails done.
I know most of you must be wondering, why did I go to a boutique store for my mani/pedi session in the first place? The reason is simple. It's because they have recently provided this new service to "pamper" their loyal customers who shop frequently at their boutique itself. From what I've gathered, customers who shopped up to RM500 would get a free manicure session at their boutique; any customers with spendings up to RM1000 would be entitled for a complimentary manicure and pedicure session. However, this service is also catered to the public, i.e. people who don't shop at their boutique. BUT. The only issue that might concern you right now is that it would be slightly inconvenient if you're thinking about visiting this place in a group with your girlfriends but not alone. Don't get me wrong, the place is simply lovely, and it provides a nice ambiance for you to get yourselves pampered, except of the fact that they have only one manicurist who works at the boutique. This means that they only offer an individual customer at a time for this mani/pedi service. Hence, if you're thinking of visiting that place anytime soon with your girlfriends, it's a tad difficult. Unless, your girlfriends don't mind sitting down on the other sofas in the boutique or doing some shopping while waiting for you to finish your mani/pedi session before it's only their turn.
Overall, I'm more than satisfied with the service that I've received at Duchess & Co Nails this time even when I was the only odd one sitting down at the comfortable pink Osim chair at the boutique, heh. The manicurist really paid attention to the type of nail art that I wanted and even contributed suggestions to what I should do to my nails or how it should be shaped. Really looking forward in seeing the expansion of this current small section in the near future, which was a news I've learnt about from the manicurist herself! *jumpswithjoy* At the same time, for the price wise, I would say it really is reasonable. I basically paid a total amount of RM118 for having my toenails painted with solely normal colour from OPI, and fingernails painted with gel colour from OPI with nail art on every finger along with two charms on my left fingers.
