Hello, world!
Here's my late post as a dedication to Malaysia's National Day on the 31st of August.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, MALAYSIA! It's the 57th year since we've achieved the independence of our country. Again, I would never deny the fact that being a Malaysian since forever has had its perks in so many other ways that growing up in any other countries may not even offer; from the vast diversity in culture, languages, dialects, and to the variety of local delicacies that our country has, I've always been grateful that I was born as a Malaysian. Despite all the obstacles that have been thrown to our country this year, I still believe that Malaysia could one day stand up again to regain back its reputation and trust of the public in the respective field. Like what we Malaysians always say, "Malaysia Boleh!"

Aside from that, life's been pretty much just the same these days, except for the fact that I've been really busy trying to work on my personal statement that would be used for my postgraduate studies application..
I know some of you might be wondering, isn't it a little too early to prepare for all these? Well, I think it's a bit, but not too much. Partially because once I'm done with these, I can finally narrow down the university choices I would like to apply to for my masters then and proceed to working on my references with my tutor and academic advisors... Just so you know, most of the universities would open their applications for the 2015/2016 intake by this October/November when I return to the UK. Therefore, in order to save time and trouble, I really think it's important that I fully utilise the remaining time that I have in Malaysia before I head back for my final year to do most of the preparations that I can for my postgraduate studies application first.
Not only that, IELTS on the other hand would be an issue. I've actually taken IELTS before and the results that I've got previously was more than enough to apply to all the universities that I want. However, thanks to the IELTS policy for making the qualification only valid for two years after the test date, mine is now no longer valid. Hence, this explains why I got to re-sit and go through the entire IELTS examination process again. My first speaking test would be on this coming Thursday, followed by the other respective written test on Saturday morning. Oh boy. Gotta wake up really early for that this Saturday :O Hopefully everything turns out well this time, for someone like me who's taking IELTS for the second time. *fingers crossed*

On the other hand, I've been busy catching up with old schoolmates from high school as well as a few of our close teachers from high school for the past two days :) I've got to admit, the feeling is really so good and genuine when you're meeting with your high school mates and close teachers. Our conversations with one another is just never-ending. We could definitely go on and on without stopping if only time would allow.
It was great to learn about the latest updates about each and everyone of them; whether they are happy or not with their university life, personal life, life overall and everything else.. It is certainly comforting to know that there are some friends who will always be prepared to be honest about everything they are going through in life right now and wouldn't be afraid of sharing them with you and worrying about how you're going to see them afterwards. I really needed to know that there are still friends like these around me, despite how infrequent our meetings are.
Nonetheless, going through the high school memories that we've all once shared together as a class was simply priceless and entertaining. I honestly can't imagine what my high school time especially during my time as a Form 4 and 5 student would turn out to be like if they weren't apart of it.

So, this was our first gathering at Publika with Ms Sharon. Even though there weren't a lot who turned up, but this was definitely enough in making our gathering a great one :)
Second gathering at One Utama. Ms Jasmine turned up for this one! Heh. Some left earlier or came later before we could take a complete picture together with Ms Jasmine as she had to leave earlier on that day.

After that, Evonne, Hup Ping and I were one of the few that remained at OU to grab a little card from Popular for a dear friend of ours who has been battling with his sickness courageously all these while. I really can't imagine if I were put in his position. I don't think I would respond in the same way as my friend. As much as I would want to say I know how disheartening it feels to be in such situation, I have got to admit that I really know nothing about and how it feels to be in the same position as he is.
Thus, I've gathered that everything in life is truly unpredictable. It doesn't mean because we've planned out our life the way we want it to be for our future, it would turn out to be the same way as we've hoped for; many things may come in our way or happen without warnings.. So, I believe that constant contemplation about our future is not what we should do right now. Instead, we should live up to everyday of our lives in a manner showing that we embrace the people, and opportunities that we have around us, and appreciating every single thing we're being blessed for thus far.
Do you agree?
Some pictures from the other day;
A picture of my favourite Evonne and I with our super red background. HAHA.
<3 Double Ho's. Always grateful to have this girl in my life.

Later that night, it was time for some MAMAK food. I just had the sudden cravings for Roti Telur, Roti Planta and Roti Canai. I know some may utilise the long weekend to have really fine and good food with family and friends, but for me, THIS was indeed a satisfying way for me to spend my Sunday (on Merdeka's night) with my family. I can't recall when was the last time that I've exactly had these, but the moment I took my first bite of Roti Telur that night, it felt amazingggg! Haha. I know I may sound a little bit ridiculous as though I haven't had Roti Telur before, but seriously, I really thought our way of spending the Merdeka night was just simply patriotic. *self-praised* AHAHA. What other ways would you want to spend Merdeka besides digging into some local delicacies?
AHH. So fattening but who cares.. *thumbs up*
